Delivering relevant and valuable pension-related research to Research Partners is central to ICPM’s mandate. ICPM provides funding for objective and transformative research that supports effective pension and investment management.
ICPM interacts with researchers and collaborates with top international pension research institutes, think tanks and like-minded organizations on applicable pension and investment research opportunities.
ICPM’s Research Committee identifies topics that are of high interest to Research Partners and grants funding for completed research papers and early-stage major projects. ICPM is interested in funding development of case studies that explore specific experiences or challenges facing global pension organizations in-depth. We welcome researchers to contact us with topics and opportunities for case study development.
The Committee issues a call for research papers each fall through its extensive network of academic institutions and research organizations. ICPM also plans to fund a major research project this year through a separate call for research.
- C$10K each for up to five papers annually, according to the quality of submissions received
- Additional C$50K available for a major research project
- Grants for case study development
The Research Committee, which includes 10 leading academics and practitioners from around the world, conducts a rigorous peer review of research papers submitted for consideration. Authors for successful papers are invited to present research findings at ICPM Discussion Forums held twice annually.
Research Scanning Initiative
As part of ICPM’s strategic plan to provide high-quality services and communication to Research Partners, ICPM will begin a proactive scanning program for new research related to pension management and investing. This service will bring compelling new information to the attention of our Research Partners from a variety of sources and will be introduced next year.
